SUMGLASS 2025 will be held during September 15 to 19, 2025, with the theme of “Nuclear and Industrial Glasses for Energy Transition". This workshop offers a unique platform to share advancements in vitrification, decarbonization technologies, and glass materials for carbon neutrality.


We strongly encourage young researchers, especially graduate students, to submit abstracts for oral/poster presentations. Accepted abstracts will contribute to discussions on global challenges in nuclear waste management, industrial glass innovation, and sustainable energy solutions. 

 
To support early-career researchers, we are offering a Student Funding for outstanding graduate students or a fresh researcher. Selected applicants will receive: 

1.Waived registration fee 
2.Accommodation coverage during the workshop (September 15th to 19th)
3. ¥5,000 RMB travelling fund.

Eligibility Criteria: 
1. Currently as a graduated student or a fresh researcher who received his academic degree with one year

2. Submitted an abstract to SUMGLASS 2025 for an oral presentation or a poster.  Please submit the abstract via the conference management system at ( https://sumglass2025.scimeeting.cn ).  

Additional information: To submit an abstract, the author or speaker need to register an account at the workshop website first, and compose the abstract according to the template. 


How to Apply: 

Complete the Student Funding Application Form (attached) and email it to lifeng.li@whut.edu.cn by June 09, 2025. Besides the application form, the applicants also need to submit the following documents:

1.    Personal resume
2.    The recommodation letter from the supervisor
